This pendant was made after I found these turkey feathers on a walk, took them home and carefully cleaned them. I added a hammered end cap and a hammered circle of metal, and strung it on a matte black chain.

According to the local paper, Berkeleyside, these wild turkeys, called Rio Grande, were introduced from the Southwest to the Bay Area in the 1950s, and clearly have thrived. I personally love them, and feel like they impart a sense of good luck. They wander in flocks around Berkeley, where Three Witches is located, and all the cars stop to let them pass. Nearby my home is a wild space next to an organic farm, and this is usually where I find the turkey feathers that I use for jewelry making.
